About Us
Ministries
Nursery
Our nursery is always open on Sunday mornings, 9:15 am until Noon and during events. Though registration is required for events so we can provide your child with the greatest of care. If you forget your diaper bag, there are diapers for all sizes as well as disposable bottles and ‘sippy’ cups. If you are attending an event here at the church and need a nursery, just ask and we will have one available just for you.
We have a variety of Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings for ages ranging from Pre-K to adult. For a complete list of classes click here.
Children's Ministry
As well as Sunday School and children’s church, we offer exciting events throughout the year including Movie Night, Trunk or Treat, Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt, just to name a few. The children sing in church several times during the year.
Youth Ministry
The vision of the Student Department here at NorthPoint UMC is to reach each and every student in the North Shreveport and Caddo parish area. Our mission is to lead all students to Christ, so that they can experience the wonderful gift of grace that God has given us.
Young Adults Ministry
Several young adults are active in our worship service as well as gathering together on Sunday mornings for a time of sharing and discussing how God is at work in their life and in the world.
United Methodist Women
Our Women's group meets on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 PM. During the meeting the group is intentional about sharing prayer concerns, praying for each other, and of course involved in a foreign mission project. The group is actively involved in community activities. They have sewn skirts for an orphange in Africa, collected items needed for Heart of Hope, the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, and supplies for local schools. On August 8 they will hold a Garage Sale with the proceeds to go to the Church ministries.
Mother's Day Out
We are always happy to enroll new families into our Mother’s Day Out program. We have a lot to offer you and your children; we care for, educate, build social skills and instill values throughout the program. The program is open Tuesday-Friday, 8:30 am-2:30 pm with flexible time if needed. If you or anyone you know is interested please contact Mary Willhlite at 550-7128.
Serving Our Community
The church is always collecting something for a cause such as toiletries for House of Hope, games for Ruston Children’s Home, Angel Tree, and many more throughout the year. The church plans a trip to work in United Methodist Distribution Center and builds wheel chair ramps in the community.
United Methodist Men
Our men's group meets on the second Thursday of each month at a local eatery to discuss missions and men's ministry.
